
It was in the mid 1980s because of personal family circumstances that I took an interest in complementary therapies particularly massage and reflexology.
During the intervening years I have taken many courses in various types of Massage and Reflexology enabling me to offer my wide range of treatments.

I was a member of the SIR Executive Committee for over twelve years and also on its Accreditation Committee, which was responsible for assessing Reflexology Courses in Colleges throughout Scotland. During that time I travelled to London and Europe meeting with other Reflexology Organisations establishing common guidelines for Codes of Practice and Ethics and also Reflexology Procedures.
For over eleven years I did voluntary work of one afternoon a week giving massage and reflexology treatments to the patients in the Day Care Centre and Bedded Unit of the local ACCORD Hospice in Paisley.
For four years I was Reflexology and Massage Consultant in an extensive hospital-based NHS Research Programme in Hull treating over 180 post-operative breast cancer patients.
I have appeared on BBC1, BBC2 and Sky TV programmes demonstrating massage in the well-known private Arlington Baths Club in Glasgow where I worked as a part-time therapist for over twelve years.
